About us

The purpose of the Society of Afghan Engineers is to accomplish the activities described in the mission and vision statements of SAE.

The Society is formed by the free will of a group of Afghan Architects and Engineers and is operated on a nonprofit basis. The Society engages in charitable activities and as a result of this, the Society of Afghan Engineers is exempted from Federal Income Tax under Section 501 (c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

The Society is not an agency of any government nor is the Society a political organization. Therefore, it is not devoted to carrying on any political propaganda.

SAE Mission

The mission of the Society of Afghan Engineers is to provide connections among Afghan professionals throughout the world and assist as technical consultants to both the governmental agencies and private sectors of Afghanistan.

"The vision of the Society is to participate in the reconstruction of Afghanistan."

Activities

SAE, led by its vision, may involve in the following activities:

  1. The fostering of international support for the solicitation of financial and technical assistance in the reconstruction of infrastructures of Afghanistan;
  1. The promotion of the capacity building projects for the Afghan architects, engineers, and other professionals;
  1. The advancement and strengthening of the architectural and engineering professions in Afghanistan;

5. The collection and dissemination of ongoing knowledge, statistics, ideas, and information related to the utilization of Afghan-produced products;

6. The promotion of industry-wide design and construction standards, test methods, and application of quality control and quality assurance in Afghanistan;The offering of the on-the-job-training courses, workshops, and seminars for professionals residing within and outside of Afghanistan;

7. The offering of the on-the-job-training courses, workshops, and seminars for professionals residing within and outside of Afghanistan;

8. The development of Afghan standards, building codes, specifications, and design guidelines;The unification of Afghan professionals and the solicitation of their expertise for the advancement of engineering and architectural professions in Afghanistan.
