The PURPOSE The Society of Afghan Engineers Manual (The Operating Manual) is the Society’s standard operating procedure. It provides guidelines to the members of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and other committees that may be formed to perform specific Society activities as described herein. Currently, Executive Committee is the only active committee of the Society. The formations of other committees are based on the need and availability of Society members who will be volunteering to perform the tasks that are described in this Manual. The Committees/Subcommittees may be standing or ad hoc. The formation of each of the Committee/Subcommittee requires the approval of the Board of Directors. The Manual describes the position description of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee members. It also includes a few forms that are currently used by the Society, especially, the certificate of membership form and membership application and renewal forms. Section 2 of the Bylaws describes the purpose, vision, and mission of the Society.
