Background on the Spring 2024 Floods

In May 2024, devastating floods swept through several north-western provinces in Afghanistan, specifically impacting Baghlan, Ghor, Logar, and Faryab. These natural disasters led to the destruction of local developments and inflicted heavy losses of life and property damage upon the residents of these areas.

Our Response and Emergency Relief

At the Society of Afghan Engineers (SAE), we regularly participate in emergency relief efforts, as we cannot remain silent when our people are facing extraordinarily difficult times. Driven by the difficult circumstances brought on by this natural disaster, our members acted passionately to extend a helping hand and provide financial support to the victims of the spring 2024 floods.

To support the recovery of the affected communities, our management allocated a $1,500 donation directly from SAE funds to assist the victims in Baghlan and Ghor provinces. In addition to this organizational contribution, many of our members mobilized to provide further financial assistance by pitching in individually.
