Bagh-e-Bala Overpass
Our members played a pivotal role in enhancing Afghanistan’s transportation infrastructure by providing essential geotechnical data for the Kabul overpass project in 2011. Spearheaded by Engineer Sahib Najib Poya and supported by ASR Engineering, Inc., led by Dr. A. Saboor Rahim, this collaboration ensured the project’s success and safety.
Our involvement in the transportation infrastructure of Afghanistan includes specific, highly technical contributions made possible through the professional networks and enterprises of our members. In 2011, we participated in the development of an overpass in Kabul by supplying critical engineering data.
Professional Collaboration for Geotechnical Design
This specific infrastructure activity was initiated at the direct request of one of our active members, Engineer Sahib Najib Poya. To fulfill this request and support the project’s development, the necessary geotechnical design data for the overpass, located near Bagh-e-Bala in Kabul, was provided by ASR Engineering, Inc..
ASR Engineering, Inc. is an engineering consulting firm established and led by another of our esteemed members, Dr. A. Saboor Rahim, who serves as the firm’s President and Senior Engineer. The firm regularly performs comprehensive consulting services in geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, material testing, and construction inspection. Through this professional coordination between our members, we were able to successfully deliver the required geotechnical data to assist in the safe and proper design of the Bagh-e-Bala overpass.
