Planate Management Group (PMG)
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that provides global program management and facilities engineering services, and it has established a joint venture partnership with SAE to recruit and mobilize qualified Afghan engineers worldwide to support its international operations.
Background
At the Society of Afghan Engineers (SAE), we are deeply committed to empowering Afghan professionals around the globe by connecting them with meaningful career opportunities. To help fulfill this mission, we have established a strong, collaborative partnership with the Planate Management Group (PMG).
We officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PMG on November 8, 2021, which was followed by a formal Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) announced on December 15, 2021. Through this agreement, we have engaged to identify and mobilize talented Afghan engineers from the USA, Canada, Afghanistan, and across the globe to serve as a professional workforce supporting PMG’s worldwide operations.
About Planate Management Group
Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida. PMG also operates technical support centers in Southeast Asia and East Africa.
As a trusted entity, PMG provides comprehensive program management and facilities engineering services on a global scale. Their expertise spans planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management. Planate primarily supports the missions of the US Department of Defense (DOD)—including the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps—along with other US federal agencies operating all over the world.
How Our Agreement with PMG Works
The core of our Agreement is built on mutual collaboration to meet PMG’s demands for highly qualified engineering professionals. The general terms of our agreement include:
- Needs Identification & Talent Sourcing: We have collaborated with PMG to understand their specific professional needs and requirements. We have then leveraged our extensive global network to identify suitable Afghan engineers living in the US, Canada, Afghanistan, and elsewhere who possess the right qualifications.
- Screening & Referrals: SAE has conducted the initial first-level screening of potential candidates. Once we have identified the most suitable engineers, we have referred them directly to PMG for further vetting, interviewing, and potential hiring.
- A Goodwill Relationship: While there are no direct, stipulated financial obligations for either party under this agreement, both SAE and PMG understand that goodwill is demonstrated through voluntary contributions toward the work and talent delivered by our Society to PMG.

As a direct result of this engagement, we have regularly featured active job openings from Planate Management Group in our quarterly eNewsletters and communications.
